Inside/Outside Project

This was something that I could identify with because my past studies. I found it to be quite revealing. I was focusing on details of thought and what my imagination would lead me to. This was another figure based concept/project.

For the majority of this work I experimented in a more graphic/illustration based art.  It started of in simple pencil, which moved on to penning some of the work and gradually colour was included.

Whilst I was keeping my mind free, I kept stumbling upon veins.  I think that this was my mind’s way of suggesting expansion.  Veins carry our very life source through our bodies.  This idea of expansion, interested me.

Magazine Exposure

Recently I was contacted by the So:Local Team, a small magazine venture which was created for the sole purpose of showing everyone out there exactly what is happening within the realms of the city of Edinburgh.

I was targeted because of my work as was a fellow colleague (Nat W).

Again, I have managed to forge a good working relationship, with both Clare and Andy.

My work will feature in November’s 2oo7’s issue, which goes to print on Monday, 29th of October.

So, I have managed to be in the right place at the right time, a lot of people will see this magazine, which is great exposure.

Hopefully, this will bring both the magazine and myself big opportunities.

As yet, I do not know when this November’s issue will surface (sometime in November perhaps).

Back to work and back blog

Things have been going rather well for me recently, with wall space and exhibitions becoming much more of a regular occurance. I have met a lot of new interesting people (contacts) but, above all friends. This has made life as an artist much easier in promoting my work.

I look forward to finding more opportunities and friends.

Also, just to note that I have started fresh and deleted all my work from last year (even though it was technically this year)

My first experience of wordpress

So far things have been slightly slow (in terms of actually getting things to work). Fortunately, things seem to be on a roll now. I have had some fun trying to set this up and actually getting the contacts, to be well, in contact. Never the less I prevailed, slightly.

There has been one unfortunate event over the passing of days, I have been going deaf in my left ear (not the first time it has happened). So, between trying to sort this page and going deaf, I haven’t really done any work that can be debated / talked about!

I better get to work!
